Diving in El Toro

Diving in the El Toro Marine Reserve is one of the most impressive experiences that Mallorca has to offer.

Located in the southwest of the island, this protected marine reserve has become a reference point for divers of all levels, due to its extraordinary biodiversity and underwater visibility.

El Toro Marine Reserve

What to see in El Toro?

El Toro is noted for its rich marine life, which has flourished thanks to the protection of the reserve. Its waters are home to an incredible biodiversity: large groupers, barracudas, moray eels and schools of fish fill the seabed with life and colour. It is also common to find rays resting on the sand or octopus camouflaged among the rocks.

The dives here are notable for their varied underwater scenery, with rock formations, platforms and vertical drop-offs that descend to depths of over 30 metres. These structures create ideal refuges for a multitude of species, making each dive a unique experience.

El Toro is an ideal destination for divers of all levels

El Toro is perfect for both beginners and experienced divers. The reserve has dive sites of varying depths and calm waters, allowing you to enjoy the surroundings without rushing.

For the more experienced divers, the reserve offers deeper and more challenging dive sites, where other species can be observed. According to recent statistics, El Toro has registered more than 26,000 dives per year, making it one of the most popular dive destinations in the Balearic Islands.
